Accessibility is a term commonly used in relation to website design.

In general, it means ensuring that users with visual impairments or disabilities, which affect how they browse the web, can access the same information that other users can.

Common examples of accessibility solutions include providing web pages that can be read by a screen reader or allow the text to be enlarged. To support accessibility, PageTiger can output a text-only version of an issue that is easier to read and can be used with screen readers.

Accessibility content for each page is managed Page Properties.

  • To begin, select Manage for your Issue followed by Interactivity.
  • Select the Pages palette and right click on a page for further options.
  • Select Page Properties
  • If you are viewing a double page spread, the properties will display for both pages in two columns (For example - page 1 and page 2)
  • Select Edit/Create for Accessibility Content on the page you would like to add it to. The below example is using page 1.

It is important to review this content and ensure it is presented in a way that parallels the full version of the publication.

In addition to the content of the pages, accessibility content can be added to more information boxes. More information content is automatically added after the page content. The order of the more information box content can be managed by assigning an order number to each more information box.
