The Tin Can / Experience API (or XAPI) allows you to export your reporting data directly to an existing Learning Records Store (LRS). The purpose of the API is to collate data from a wide variety of sources in a single location and in a common format.
You can assign the API to a document using an Analytics setting. This means that the API needs to be applied to every document that requires it – not the entire account.
You must provide the following information in order for PageTiger to establish a connection to your LRS:
- End Point URL (The web address of your LRS)
- LRS User Name
- LRS Password
Consult the manager of your LRS if you are unsure of any of these credentials.
More about configuring the Tin Can/Experience API (or XAPI) can be found here.
