Tags can be used to categorise your documents. You may wish to tag your documents for the following reasons:

  • Reporting
    Retrieve a category of documents and drill down into reporting data. Navigate to Reports in the top menu and select one of the tags from the list to filter the documents.
  • Locating a document
    Retrieve a category of documents to manage from your homepage. Select a tag on your homepage.
  • Library API
    Display a category of documents on a web page using PageTiger’s JavaScript and web APIs.

Tags are applied to documents, not to versions or folders. They are not compulsory and do not impact on your reader’s experience. If you intend to create a significant number of documents, they can be very helpful.
